Discover Hartley’s Crocodile Adventure Park

Embark on a wildlife adventure through dense rainforests, woods and wetlands at Hartley’s Crocodile Adventure Park, an award-winning nature sanctuary just a short drive away from our Cairns holiday apartments. At Hartley’s you can witness a diverse range of Australia’s native reptiles, birds and mammals behaving just as they would in the wild, but the park is most famous for its collection of 19 crocodiles – in fact, it has been named as one of the best nature parks to see these magnificent creatures in Australia.

Visitors make their way through the park along long winding wooden boardwalks. You’ll encounter both Estuarine (saltwater) and freshwater crocs, brilliantly coloured tropical birds, lazy lizards and fish of every size and description. At the heart of the park is a small outdoor theatre where there are daily educational and entertaining shows, such as the snake show and the famed crocodile attack show – don’t miss it!

The Hartley’s Lagoon Cruise is perhaps the highlight of any visit to Hartley’s. As you glide across the lagoon, you have a unique opportunity to see the crocodiles sleeping in the mud, gliding through the water and gathering grass and leaves to build their nests.

After you’ve had your very own crocodile adventure, enjoy a relaxing coffee and bite to eat in Lilies Restaurant by the lagoon.
