This spring, take in one of nature’s most breathtaking spectacles and enjoy a fantastic line-up of art and music at Eclipse Festival 2012 in Cairns, not far from our accommodation Cairns.

The brand new festival has been created to mark the total solar eclipse which will occur this 14 November and showcases a huge program of world class DJs, musicians and bands over nearly a week of celebration in the heart of Cairns. Bands confirmed for the event include Avalon, Beats Antique, Fat Freddy’s Drop, Galatic Wind, and many more.

Aside from all the great live music, Eclipse 2012 will feature a selection of inspiring art installations, live dance performances and performance art. At the heart of the festival, the Eclipse Village will be a peaceful area to relax and recharge with yoga demonstrations meditation workshops and inspirational guest speakers.
